ON THE ISSUE OF METHODS FOR ASSESSING SOIL PRODUCTIVITY


There are set out the results of qualitative assessment of soils by means of the soil appraisal method and of the A.I. Yuzhakov expert method. A possibility has been considered to use the methods for assessing soil productivity by calculating the yielding capacity of agricultural crops.

TETRAPLOID RYE: INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF GERM PORES IN POLLEN


The results of studying autotetraploid winter rye pollen in generations C-1 to C-11 are submitted. Possibilities of using pollen grains with the multiplied number of germ pores have been determined to reveal tetraploid plants from the experimental material.

DYNAMICS OF SPECIES COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTIVITY OF ALAAS MEADOWS IN CENTRAL YAKUTIA


There are presented the findings of long-term stationary investigations on evaluating the productivity of alaas meadows that occupy a considerable proportion of grasslands in Central Yakutia. The patterns of changing species composition and of the dynamics of alaas meadow’s above-ground biomass have been determined.

APPLICATION OF MODERN PREPARATIONS TO CONTROL BLOOD-SUCKING INSECTS OF REINDEERS IN TAIMYR


There are given the data on investigating preparations of new generation to protect reindeers from blood-sucking insects. It has been established that the preparations UMOrep, AEROrep, EQUArep have a long-lasting effect, whereas the effectiveness of the insecticide Briz 25% have been found to be low.

EFFECT OF ANTIOXIDANT THIOPHAN ON STRUCTURE FUNCTIONAL ORGANIZATION OF INTESTINES IN RATS UNDER CONDITIONS OF GLUCOCORTICOID LOAD


There has been studied the influence of the synthetic antioxidant thiophan on the morphofunctional organization of the small and large intestines in rats under conditions of glucocorticoidinduced oxidative stress. It has been established that the antioxidant thiophan affects reducing the oxidative stress parameters and renders the protective effect on the cells and intercellular substance of the intestines.

COMPARATIVE STUDY OF CHONDROPROTECTIVE PROPERTIES OF ANTIOXIDANT THIOPHAN AND ?-TOCOPHEROL ON THE EXPERIMENTAL MODEL OF OXIDATIVE STRESS


There are set out the results of comparative study of the antioxidant effect of thiophan and ?-tocopherol on the model of oxidative stress in rats caused by prednisolone. It has been established that the antioxidant thiophan has a protective effect on cells and matrix of the vertebral body’s growth plate under conditions of prednisolone load.

There are set out the results of substantiating the process flowsheet of an engineering tool for applying nitrogen-fixing bacterial preparation suspensions into soil, when growing grain crops under conditions of Siberia. The promising processing and engineering solutions on developing the working bacterial preparation suspension and on treating seed material with it, when sowing, have been revealed.

INVESTIGATING CHANGES IN THE RATE OF FRUIT SAUCE EVAPORATION IN VACUUM CHAMBER


There was studied the effect of critical parameters of the fruit sauce evaporation process on the process intensity under two-stage concentration by the method of pressure release and subsequent accumulation of sauce on the vertical heated wall.

EFFECT OF FERTILIZERS ON THE C VITAMIN CONTENT IN BLACK CURRANT GROWING IN FROZEN SOIL


There are given the results of study on determining the effect of mineral macro- and trace fertilizers, as well as of humus, on the C vitamin content in the berries of three black currant varieties growing in frozen soil. The statistically significant indices presented show the increase in the ascorbic acid content in the berries of the black currant varieties studied in all fertilized variants of the experiment.
