The changes in properties of chernozem soils under minimized grain crop cultivation have been analyzed. The cost efficiency of grain crop growing technologies with different systems of basic soil cultivation has been determined.

EFFECTIVENESS OF MINERAL FERTILIZERS IN GROWING RAPESEED-OAT MIXTURE UNDER CONDITIONS OF CENTRAL YAKUTIA
There was revealed the effect of mineral fertilizers on the production performance of rapeseed-oat mixture cultivated on cryogenic chernozem-like floodplain meadow soil under conditions of Central Yakutia. The most optimal rates of fertilizer usage to obtain protein-balanced feeds have been determined.

RESPONSE OF CRESTED WHEAT GRASS PLANTS TO DIFFERENT DOSES OF GAMMA IRRADIATION
The seeds of crested wheat grass (Agropyron cristatum L.Gaertn.) were exposed to gamma radiation at various doses. The irradiation dose, at which the obvious oppression of plant growth takes place, as well as the lethal dose has been found. The cytogenetic effect of irradiation has been indicated. The content of proteins, sugars, ascorbic acid, and chlorophyll in the plants radiationexposed has been determined.

CORRELATIONS OF PRODUCTIVITY ELEMENTS IN OAT HYBRIDS WHEN CROSSING HULLED AND BARE-GRAINED FORMS
There was carried out the analysis of phenotypic correlations as to productivity elements in spring oat hybrids when crossing hulled and bare-grained forms. There was revealed the frequency of occurrence of the genes responsible for the high-productive tilling capacity and for a higher thousand-kernel weight.

STUDYING THE EFFECT OF LONG-TERM STORAGE OF EASTERN GALEGA SEEDS ON THEIR SOWING PROPERTIES
The long-term storage of eastern galega seeds has been established to have an effect on their sowing properties that is on thousand-kernel weight, germinating power, laboratory and field germination. The optima seed storage terms have been established to obtain the conditioned germination.

COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF PERENNIAL LEGUME GRASSES IN COLLECTION NURSERY
28 varieties of perennial legume crops were studied. Their adaptation capabilities were evaluated; the yielding capacity, yield distribution across the hay harvests, and quality of feeds was established.

AGE-SPECIFIC FEATURES OF ACCESSORY GENITAL GLANDS IN DOMESTIC YAK
There are given the results of investigating the age-specific changes of accessory genital glands in domestic yaks as well as the morphometry data. The morphological changes occurring in the organs investigated during pubescence are indicated.

WATER BLOOM BY BLUE-GREEN ALGAE AND ITS EFFECT ON FISH
There are given the data on the effect of intensive development of blue-green alga Aphanizomenon flos-aquae (L.) Ralfs. on young peled yield in the fish nursery in Maliy Sartlan Lake (Novosibirsk Region). As a result of influence of this alga, the survival rate of young fish in nursery ponds was established to drop.

RESULTS OF INFLUENZA VIRUS SURVEILLANCE IN WILD BIRDS IN KRASNOYARSK TERRITORY (2008)
The results of virological investigation of wild birds belonging to 13 orders and inhabiting Krasnoyarsk region are presented. Four influenza A viruses of H10N7, H3N6 and H3N8 subtypes were isolated from the birds belonging to Anseriformes order. H5N1 influenza virus was not identified. It was approved that Krasnoyarsk region is one of the most important territories concerning influenza virus epizootology, and is one of the key regions for research on influenza virus ecology.

DAIRY PRODUCTION AND PROCESSING MANAGEMENT IN LOCAL RURAL AREAS: PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
The processes of regional dairy market concentration are shown. The types of monopolies have been identified, the criteria of localization of commodity producers of interrelated industries have been formulated, and the drawbacks of their interaction under conditions of existing monopolies have been indicated. The mechanism of commodity producer interaction and the system of dairy production and processing management are suggested.

KINEMATICAL AND DYNAMIC STUDY OF COUPLING DEVICES IN SEEDING TILLAGE MACHINE «OB-43T»
There was carried out the kinematical and dynamic study of coupling devices in seeding tillage machine «Ob-43T». There was developed a mathematical model, allowing determination of basic parameters in a coupling device. A new coupling device has been developed, and its field test has been done.

ALTERNATIVE TYPES OF RAW MATERIAL FOR FOOD MANUFACTURERS
By means of STATISTICA 6.0 software package, there was carried out the correlation and regression analysis of structural and mechanical characteristics of fruity coatings for pieces of sweetened and pressed cottage cheese. Based on the results obtained, there was developed the formulation and the manufacturing scheme for producing pieces of sweetened and pressed cottage cheeses in vegetable coatings.

There are given the results of the comparative study of the prostate gland in bulls of Simmental hybrids and boars of Large White breed. Based on the histological and histochemical study, the morphofunctional differences in the prostate gland in both animal species have been established.
