ECOTOXITY INDICES TO SULFONYLUREA HERBICIDES
DIPHESAN AND MAGNUM IN LEACHED CHERNOZEM
OF THE AREAS NEAR THE OB RIVER
The dynamic residual phytotoxicity for herbicides diphesan (chlorsulfuron + dicamba) and magnum (metsulfuron methyl) under conditions of the northern forest-steppe areas near the Ob River has been studied. The effect of the herbicides on soil microbial functional diversity in leached chernozem has been demonstrated. It has been established that the length of toxic action on soil microbiota and the soil persistence of magnum are more than those of diphesan. The possibilities have been revealed to reduce ecotoxicity of the herbicides studied by leaving the plant residues on the fields.

INFLUENCE OF BIOPREPARATIONS ON RUTIN CONTENT
AND MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF BUCKWHEAT
There are given the results of applying bioactive substances and growth regulators of vegetable and marine origin to buckwheat. It has been established that various bioactive substances influence the morphological characteristics of buckwheat and the rutin content in its grain and green mass. The optimal variants of spraying buckwheat plants with bioactive preparations in accordance with the developmental stages have been determined.

EFFECT OF CLIMATIC FACTORS
ON PRODUCTIVITY OF SPRING WHEAT
UNDER CONDITIONS OF BURYAT DRY STEPPE
Based on the long-term field experience, several regularities concerning the growth and development of spring wheat under conditions of Buryat dry steppe have been determined. It has been revealed that the yielding capacity of this crop is determined by the number of productive stems. This index has been established to directly depend on heat supply in the period of sowing. The production functions of the spring wheat’s yielding capacity and its elements have been constructed according to the most important climatic factors during the growing period.

ONTOGENESIS OF PSATHYROSTACHYS CAESPITOSA
OF VARIETY MANCHAARY IN CENTRAL YAKUTIA
The ontogenesis of Psathyrostachys caespitosa of variety Manchaary has been studied under conditions of Central Yakutia. When additionally used the morphophysiological approaches, the well-defined physiological criteria of age states in plants have been revealed. The biomorphological characteristic of uneven-aged plants is given. It has been established that the sowing terms affect the coming, course and period of passing through ontogenetic states in the pre-reproductive period and on the transition to the reproductive period.

ESTIMATION OF DROUGHT AND HEAT RESISTANCE
IN INITIAL FORMS OF APPLE
There was studied the dynamics of water regime indices in apple varieties and forms under simulated conditions of desiccation and overheat. It has been established that a heat shock influences the content of chlorophylls a and b and carotenoid sum in the leaves, the dependence between these indices having been revealed. The varieties and forms of apple with a high level of heat and drought resistance have been singled out for further breeding.

SEED SETTING BY PISTILLATE AND BISEXUAL FLOWERS
IN SHRUBBY CINQUEFOIL
There were studied the types and ways of seed setting in different sexual forms of shrubby cinquefoil (Pentaphylloides fruticosa L.) grown in the experimental plot under conditions of Western Siberia. A high degree of seed setting by bisexual and pistillate flowers under xenogamous pollination has been established. It has been revealed that only the bisexual flowers of heteromorphic populations form seeds owing to autogamy.

PROSPECTS OF USING WILD RELATIVES
IN ADAPTIVE BREEDING OF CHRYSANTHEMUM HORTORUM
The adaptive properties of wild relatives of Chrysanthemum hortorum have been studied to develop parent breeding material. There has been revealed the uniqueness of many native species of chrysanthemum as complex sources and donors of resistance to pathogenic fungi and of winter hardiness. An ability of breeding and introgression of valuable features of wild species into the genotype of Chrysanthemum hortorum has been shown that allows us to preserve the unique variants of allelic genes in hybrid and recurrent-hybrid forms in culture conditions.

INTERBREED DIFFERENCE IN ENZYMATIC ACTIVITY OF BLOOD
IN FATTENING ANIMALS
There was studied the activity of acid phosphatase in blood serum of Large White, Kemerovskaya and Landrace pigs, selected by the affinity principle, in fattening them to various live weights. Lower activity of enzyme in fattening gilts to 120 and 140 kg live weight has been established. It has been revealed that enzyme tests should be applied when evaluating precocity and productive qualities of animals.

POTENTIAL PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE
OF SIMMENTAL CATTLE OF VARIOUS ORIGINS
The potential production performance of maternal progenitors of Simmental cattle delivered from different European countries has been evaluated. Their lactation performance and qualitative characteristics of milk have been studied. The coefficients of correlation between production traits in cows of different generations of maternal progenitors have been calculated that characterize inheritance of the cattle delivered as stable one.

HEAVY METALS CONTENT IN ORGANS
AND MUSCULAR TISSUES OF FISHES
FROM THE AMUR RIVER BASIN
There is given the information about the heavy metals distribution in the organs of serebryanyi karas’ (Carassius auratus) (L., 1758) from different water bodies of the Amur River basin. It has been shown that high concentrations of metals were in the liver and gonads. There is presented a comparative assessment of the content of biophilic and toxic metals in the muscles of Amur fish in the winter period of observation over the years. It has been established that heavy metal concentrations in the muscular tissue of fish in 1997-1998 did not exceed the maximum permissible levels, except for the cadmium content in the muscles of spotted steed (Hemibarbus maculates) (Bleeker, 1871).

USE OF NEEDLELESS INJECTION DEVICES
FOR DIAGNOSIS OF TUBERCULOSIS IN MARALS
There are submitted the results of the research into the use of needleless injection devices for tuberculin-testing of marals. The pattern of liquid distribution in the cutaneous tissues depending on a place of introduction was studied. There was carried out the comparative evaluation of distribution of liquid injected into the middle one-third of the neck, into the area of subcaudal fold and, in a palpebral way, into the inferior eyelid at the distance of 1 cm from its edge. It has been established that the optimal place for tuberculin-testing of marals with needleless injection device is the inferior eyelid.

RESULTS OF TESTING SECTOR-TYPE SEED DISTRIBUTOR
There were determined the mathematical dependencies in design calculation of a sector-type seed distributor. Based on the results obtained, two sector-type seed distributors were manufactured for the seeding-and-tillage machine OB-6PN, and their tests were carried out. There are given the results of distributing seeds along the grain conductors depending on a position of the fan shutter, an inclination angle of the forcing hose, inclinations of the seed distributor in long and cross plates, and on the length of grain supply conductors.

USE OF FORCE-MEASURING METHODS
IN COMMERCIAL SEA BUCKTHORN PRODUCTION
The methods for measuring forces in monitoring physical-mechanical economic traits of sea buckthorn have been considered. The schematic diagrams are described to measure the tearaway force of a berry from a stem and the berry-crushing force as well as to determine the extent of root growth in sea buckthorn seedlings. There are given the designs and specifications of the developed devices «Dina-2» and «Plodtest» for determining physical-mechanical properties of sea buckthorn berries.

OF ECONOMIC JUSTIFIABILITY MANAGEMENT
FOR AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES
The methodical basis of economic justifiability management for agricultural enterprises was considered. The basic principles of economic justifiability management and a complex of criteria and indicators influencing an enterprise policy were determined. There was suggested an approach to forming the economic justifiability of subjects that allow us to solve tasks of increasing profitability level, expansion of production, minimizing industrial and economic risks as well as to work out a program of the enterprise’s strategic development.

A level of self-sufficiency of the Krasnoyarsk Territory’s population with primary foodstuffs and a balance of their production and consumption were analyzed. There were determined the conditions for maintaining the achieved volumes of output and quality of crop and animal products. The priority lines for developing the agribusiness industry of Krasnoyarsk Territory were suggested to increase the level of self-sufficiency of the population with primary foodstuffs.

The results of price disparity for agricultural producers were considered. By way of example of Chelyabinsk Region, the amount of the funds deficit in the agricultural sector was determined, and the economically sound prices for the main types of crop and animal products were calculated. The additional measures to regulate agriculture by the state were proposed based on increasing the population buying capacity.

ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF MUTTON QUALITY
IN TRANSBAIKAL REGION
There are set out the results of the research into the content of heavy metal salts (lead, cadmium, copper, and zinc) in a trophic chain — soil, water, feeds and mutton meat in Transbaikal region. There are given the data on examining pastures and animals in a sheep-breeding farm. It has been established that mutton meat produced in the conditions of this farm is an ecologically pure product, and does not contain heavy metals above the maximum permissible levels.
