DEVELOPMENT OF THE EARLY RIPENING SPRING COMMON WHEAT VARIETY «PAMYATI VAVENKOVA»
An advantage of early ripening spring common wheat varieties in certain agroecological zones is discussed. The process of developing the variety «Pamyati Vavenkova» is described, the characteristic of the variety is given. The conclusion of a possible effective continuation of this breeding line is drawn.

One of the causes of low and unstable seed productivity in perennial species of alfalfa has been revealed that is bound up with the structural features of alfalfa flowers and with the role of the tripping mechanism in the system of alfalfa pollination.

By means of scanning electron microscopy, the mechanism has been revealed for spatial organization of fibrous elements in the salivary glands by the example of the parotid and mandibular salivary glands in cattle, pigs, and dogs.

EFFECT OF SELECTING SHEEP AS TO WOOL STAPLE LENGTH ON THEIR LIVE WEIGHT AND WOOL PRODUCTIVITY OF OFFSPRING
There was studied the effect of selecting various couples of Zabaikalskaya Fine-Fleece sheep as to wool length on their live weight and wool productivity of offspring. It has been established that the homogeneous selection as to the maximal wool staple length contributes to the increased live weight and wool yield in offspring.

MONITORING OF TREMATODES OF THE FAMILY OPISTHORCHIDAE LUHE 1911 IN FISH IN THE SOUTH OF WESTERN SIBERIA
The incidence rate for infection of fish with trematode of the family Opisthorchidae in Novosibirsk Region has been reviewed. The factors regulating the number of metacercaria Opisthorchis felineus and Metorchis bilis in carp fish have been established.

CORRECTION OF LIVER DISFUNCTION IN DOWN-CALVING AND LACTATING COWS BY THE PREPARATION HUMITON
The results of scientific and practical experiment on applying the peat-based preparation Humiton in pregnant and lactating cows are set out. It has been established that Humiton contributes to normalization of liver’s functional parameters mainly in cows with obstetrical pathology.

DYNAMIC PHAGOCYTIC AND LYMPHOCYTIC COMPONENTS OF IMMUNE SYSTEM IN CALVES ILL WITH BRONCHOPNEUMONIA UNDER VARIOUS TREATMENT METHODS
There are submitted the results of investigating changes in the immune system of calves ill with bronchopneumonia under various treatment methods. It has been established that introduction of the preparation Algasol to young animals contributes to reducing terms of normalization of phagocytic and lymphocytic reactions and of circulating immune complexes as compared with the basic method.

DESIGNING OF PROCESSING LINES IN HARVESTING SILAGE CORN TAKING INTO ACCOUNT EARLINESS OF HYBRIDS
A technical and economic model has been developed to determine duration of harvesting, a number of ensilage-harvesting units and that of service machines, assigned to them in processing line, when harvesting corn hybrids differing in earliness of ripening and growing conditions. An expression has been obtained to substantiate an economically sound proportion of areas to ultra-early and early ripening hybrids of corn.

QUALITY OF RAW MILK PRODUCE FROM COWS OF DIFFERENT BREEDS AND ITS SUITABILITY FOR CHEESE MANUFACTURING
Quality of milk depending on what breed a cow belongs to was studied, and its suitability for cheese manufacturing was determined. It has been established that the lowest protein content is in milk of newly developed types of dairy cattle, the Kulundinskiy type of Red Steppe and the Priobskiy type of Black-and-White, and the highest protein content is in milk of Simmental cows.

SPREAD AND ETIOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF RESPIRATORY DISEASES IN CATTLE IN THE TERRITORY OF CHELYABINSK REGION
The spread and etiological structure of respiratory diseases in calves were studied in the territory of Chelyabinsk Region. It has been established that bovine respiratory diseases may be caused by infecting susceptible animals with a combination of infectious rhinotracheitis and bovine viral diarrhea-mucosal disease viruses as well as of bacterium Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica.
