There are given the results of field investigations on effectiveness of peat-based stimulants  –oxidate and humate of natrium – for growth and development of plants  to such crops as long-fibred flax, spring wheat, winter rye, fruit-and  berry (honeysuckle, black currant, apple tree) under conditions of  Western Siberia.

EVALUATING MUTAGENIC ACTIVITYOF CHEMICAL FACTORS IN SPRING BARLEY

The mutagenic activity of urea and seed protectants (vincit, fenoram super) has been re¬vealed in spring barley. The strong dependence between frequency of Waxy-gene mutations and manifestation of chlorophyll mutations and morphophysiological changes in second generation has been established.

ON BIOCHEMICAL VALUE OF NEW VEGETABLE CROPS

For the first time in Siberia and Russia, there were studied the biochemical parameters of new vegetable fruits: vigna, kiwano, bitter melon, wax gourd, korila and snake melon. The nutri¬tive and economic value of these plants have been determined on the basis of analyzing contents of dry matter, sugars, acids, ascorbic acid, pectins, and basic macro and trace elements.

It  has been established that the blood supply of pancreas in animals of  deer subfamily in Altai is to a greater extent realized from cranial  mesenteric artery owing to a greater diameter of pancreatic branches  moving away it.

FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITY OF ERYTHROCYTES, PROCESSES OF LIPID PEROXIDATION AND ANTIOXIDANT DEFENSE IN CALVES AGAINST THE BACKGROUND OF NITROXIDEMIA

There  was studied the total level of nitrate and nitrite content in blood  serum and urine of calves diseased with bronchopneumonia and dyspepsia.  There is given the estimate of functional activity of erythrocytes,  processes of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant defense under various  severities of diseases in animals.

State  of phagocytic link of immune system in calves diseased with  bronchopneumonia and dyspepsia has been studied. Phagocytic and  lysosomal activity of neutrophils and relationship with severity of  disease has been determined.

There  are set out the results of investigating the effect of whole blood  degree in sires on productive qualities of progeny. The efficiency of  using cows born from sires with various portions of Holstein blood has  been determined.

There  is given the review of publications on DNA-marking of infectious  disease agents of agricultural animals. It is shown that these methods  allow developing diagnostic test systems, receiving data on variability  of microorganisms and revealing regularities of occurrence and circulation of epizootic strains in herds.

EPIZOOTOLOGICAL MONITORING OF AVIAN INFLUENZA A IN TAIMIR IN 2005–2007

There are set out the results of investigations on studying the influenza A virus circulation  in populations of wild birds in Taimir. The influenza A virus has not  been isolated in the examined samples taken from 39 species of wild  birds; antibodies to several subtypes of the virus have occurred in  blood serums and yolks.

There is shown the possibility to use common laws of material world – entropy, autoregulation,  principle of least action – for describing the interaction process of  grain environment and sorting machine tools. The model obtained  adequately reflects the internal processes taken place in machines and  allows optimizing their operating modes.
