There are set out the results of long-term investigations on studying effect of mesorelief on soil fertility and productivity of grain crops. The most favorable conditions for grain crop growing have been determined. The correction factors to value of soils being formed under conditions of expressed mesorelief have been suggested.

There are considered the problems on establishment and conservation of fertile sown pastures for winter grazing under conditions of Central Yakutia to make up for a deficiency in nutrients, carotene and vitamins in rations of Yakut horses. The most promising crops for growing as wintergreen fodder have been revealed.

VIRUS OF CUCUMBER MOSAIC REVEALED IN VEGETABLE CROPS (THE KHABAROVSK ISOLATES)
There was identified the virus of cucumber mosaic, Bromoviridae family, Cucumovirus genus, in plants of pumpkin, tomato, melon and pepper in the Khabarovsk Territory. The varieties of vegetable crops of Cucurbitaceae and Solanaceae families resistant to the virus isolates studied have been revealed.
